H.E. Dr. Tan Monivann

Meet H.E. Dr. Tan Monivann in our event Day 1! He will speak under the topic of "Challenges and the Key Success in Business"
H.E. Dr. Tan Monivann is the Vice-Chairman of the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce and Vice President of Mong Reththy Group Co., Ltd., the largest agro-industrial firm in Cambodia and in the top five in Southeast Asia. He earned diverse academic degrees both from Cambodia and overseas. He obtained a Bachelor degree in Economics, Master degree in Management and Business Administration and later earned his PhD degree in Law and Business Administration. With his ingenuity, rich academic and career background, Dr. Monivann has received tremendous successes in his careers and well social recognition. As a prominent Cambodian motivator, Dr. Monivann recommends the younger Cambodian generations to set a concrete life plan, improve their skills and knowledge, and capitalize on the opportunities they have.

Dr. Vanmunin Chhieng has many years of experience working in the ICT industry. He has been consulting Startups, SMEs, and Nationals & International Corporations across all various sectors within the ICT industry. With a lifelong commitment to entrepreneurship, Dr. Vanmunin brings a unique perspective from extensive years of experiences working with these diverse sectors such as University, R&D, Banking, Telecom and Fintech. At each workplace, Dr. Vanmunin brought together talent, technology and visionary to build a business for the future.
Dr. Vanmunin has a passion for improving processes and creating strategies that will impact lives. He believes that commitment to growth also means commitment to change. With a vision for changing lives with innovative solutions, Dr. Vanmunin applied firsthand experiences and cutting-edge practices to build state-of-the-art human resources. He has been involved in many consultancy projects including project planning, prototyping, implementation, automation and scaling businesses.
Before working at Khmer Enterprise, Dr. Vanmunin started his career in the IT sector in Australia. His academic and industry experiences includes: UNSW — an Australian University, Data61 — an Australian government’s centre of Research and Excellence, Macquarie Bank — an International investment bank, Freelancer.com — a multi-million dollars online business, NBNCo — an Australian National Broadband Network, eBay — an international eCommerce retailer, Data Republic — a Security Data Exchange, Ministry of Economy and Finance — Government financial budget and execution.
Dr. Vanmunin Chhieng also received his Bachelor of Computer Science with 1st Class Honours in 2004, Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science and Engineering in 2008 from University of New South Wales Australia, Course on Venture Capitalist.

Mr. Chy Sila was educated in Faculty of Architect and Urbanism in 1993, and started to work as a tour-guide in the same time and join Adverting agency later. In 1998 Sila stated his own business as Audit CD shop,
After three years, in 2001, Sila and his partner decided to enter the F&B sector under CBM Corp. Today CBM known as Yingkok owns several prominent franchises and brands including Lotteria, Domino’s Pizza. Tous les Jours Bakery, Kyochon Chicken, T&C and The Asian Kitchen.
In 2007, he co-founded Sabay Digital Corporation. Sabay’s business verticals include online gaming, news & lifestyle publications, content creation, new media, payment gateway, e-commerce, video-on-demand, e-literature, and now Sabay has forayed in movie production and distribution. Today Sabay is Cambodia’s leading online content media company.
In 2011, Sabay partnered with MVP to introduce cutting edge cinematic experience in Cambodia under Platinum Cineplex Brand and also started movie distribution; later in 2014 join with Major group to open the 1st Major Cineplex outside of Thailand.
Oknha Sok Piseth

Meet Oknha Sok Piseth in our event Day 1! He will speak under the topic of "Innovation in Business for Sustainable Growth"
Currently, Piseth is Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder of G Gear Group Company limited. Piseth has graduated two Bachelor Degrees, Bachelor of Informatics Economics in 2006 from Royal University of Law and Economics (RULE), and Bachelor of Art in Teaching English as Foreign Language in 2007 from Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP). He also received his MBA from Charles Sturt University, Australia in 2016.
As a young entrepreneur himself – he launched his first company, Toys & Me, in 2007 – Piseth understands the difficulties of navigating Cambodia’s complex and competitive business environment. The reasons that urge him to be an entrepreneur are family background, knowledge, talents and passion. Since 2011, he has diversified his business portfolio to include G Gear, which is the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Company and the official distributor of LG Electronics products, Hyundai Elevator and Escalator, LG Hausys and AJ Auto Car Parking System. On the other hand, Biz Solution Company Limited is another business which was found in 2011 to provide IT solution.

Ms. Omuoy Heang is the founder and CEO of Camsolution Technology, a professional software development company in Phnom Penh. She is the Tux Global Institute president, a Japanese funded institute that provides education services in technology and engineering. She is the co-founder of the WeMall, an e-commerce company providing a sustainable e-market for women. Omuoy also co-founded the Tech for Kids Academy to optimize students’ learning and innovation to realize their potential for the job market. She is the winner of the 2019 Cambodia’s Women in Tech Awards. In 2018, she was awarded as Global Regional Award of Technovation in San Francisco, United State.

She is a Board of Advisor of ForeverYoung Global Co., Ltd. a trading company specialize in cosmetic and personal care products. Sihanithnovy is a former UN Youth Advisory Panel at UN Youth Advisory Panel Cambodia – UNYAP.
Ms. Sihanithnovy holds Master Degree of International Business Administration (iMBA). Sihanithnovy earns Professional Certificates of “The Company 101 – IPO” and “Winning with Emotional Excellence” from ITD Master World-Class Training. Dr. Khieng Sothy
Advisor to the National Council for Science, Technology and Innovation.
Meet Dr. Khieng Sothy in our event Day 2! He will speak under the topic of "Principles of Entrepreneurship & Innovation "
Dr. Khieng is a member of the advisory board for the National Council of Science, Technology and Innovation. He served as the Vice President (Research and Administration) at Kirirom Institute of Technology. He is an experienced and accomplished educator, researcher, and research manager. Before joining KIT, he was a senior research fellow in the Education Unit at CDRI – Cambodia Development Resource Institute. At CDRI, he co founded and was the Head of Education Unit from 2014-2018 where he was a co editor of Book on Cambodia Education 2015: Employment and Empowerment. He is also the author of a book on “The dawn of social enterprise in Cambodia?" which was published because of his doctoral research. He has more than 15 years of experience in research and administration, successful grant applications, with wide ranging research experience includes post-secondary education, economics, social enterprise, and civil society. He has held several research fellowship appointments, including at Griffith University, and University of Melbourne (Australia), and Swiss Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (Switzerland). Dr. Khieng publishes peer-reviewed articles in various international journals. In the last ten years, he has been an adjunct lecturer on Development Studies, and Nonprofit Management and Social Enterprise.
He co-founded the Comparative Education Society of Cambodia and is currently serving as a board member in this society and as an international advisory board member in Compare: A Journal of Comparative and International Education (UK). He has a PhD in Organization Sciences from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Netherlands and an MA in International Development Studies from Ohio University, USA, under the Fulbright Scholar Program during which he was the President of Ohio University Fulbright Association between 2007-2008.
Dr. Tep Makathy
Cambodian Institute for Urban Studies
Meet Dr. Tep Makathyy in our event Day 3! He will speak under the topic of "Business and Idea Competition for Smart Siem Reap"
Makathy has been working with several international funding agencies in the field of land Administration and Management, housing, urban environmental infrastructure and urban development and planning. He led ADB funded-projectfunded project and drafted National Urban Development Framework for MLMUPC in 2015, which is a steppingstone for developing Urban Development Policy (MLMUPC). Some of his selected publications included an Assessment Strategy and Roadmap (ASR) for urban sector (ADB, 2012), Urban Water Sector Overview (JICA, 2012), urbanization studies (ADB, 2015-2030, unpublished, 2015), Spatial Planning Overview (Government of Japan, 2016), and Cambodia: Achieving urbanization (WB, 2018).
He is serving the World Bank group as an accredited Environmental Safeguard Specialist from 2012-now, focusing on road sector, education, water and sanitation, and solid waste management projects in in Cambodia (and Myanmar and Laos in the past). He has founded the Cambodian Institute for Urban Studies (CIUS) 2015 and was appointed as Dean of School of Architecture and Urban Planning (SAUP) of the Pannasastra university of Cambodia (PUC) in 2018.
